Monokular Training im Vorschulalter "Wir beginnen in manchen Fällen recht früh, wenn das Kind gute motorische Fähigkeiten hat. Durch ein Fernrohr zu schauen, ist ziemlich schwierig. Deshalb befestigen wir es auf einem Stativ am Fenster und stellen draußen ein Vogelfutterhaus auf, so dass es draußen etwas interessantes zu sehen gibt und um sich an die Benutzung des Fernrohrs zu gewöhnen. Eine andere große Schwierigkeit ist, das Kind dazu zu motivieren seine Umgebung zu erkunden. Dabei können Videokameras nützlich sein. Damit kann man heranzoomen und Details zeigen wie bei einem Fernrohr. Dann wieß das Kind, wo nach es suchen muss. Falls jemand nie etwas gesehen hat, weiß man auch nicht wo nach man suchen muss. Indem man näher an ein interestanten Punkt in der Landschaft herankommt und es genau betrachtet und dann weiter weg geht und es mit der Videokamera genau untersucht, erhält das Kind eine Idee davon, wie es die Landschaft und Einzelheiten in seiner Umgebung mit einem fernrohr finden kann. Gleichzeoitig ist dies eine effektive schulung für Orientierung und Mobilität." Lea Hyvaerinen

To look through a telescope is difficult so we fix it on a stand at a window and place a bird feeder outside so there is something interesting to see and to get accustomed to look through the telescope. The other greater difficulty is to motivate the child to explore environment with a telescope. Videocameras have come to help us. With them we can zoom in and show details the same way as with a telescope so the child knows what to look for. If you have never seen something, you will not understand what you are looking at. By getting close to an interesting landmark and studying it in detail, then getting farther away and looking at it with the videocamera, the child will get an idea how he can check landmarks and other interesting details in the environment with his telescope.
